The Irpin City Council and the public organization Toloka Foundation signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The vision of the future reconstruction and development of the city was discussed as a part of meeting at the Irpin City Hall.
Today, Irpin was visited by the Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Ihor Hrosu. Together with vice speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk and Irpin city mayor Oleksandr Markushyn he inspected houses destroyed as a result of shelling by russians troops.
Irpin was visited by the head of the German Christian Democratic Union party and its faction in the Bundestag, Friedrich Merz. He had a meeting with Irpin city mayor Oleksandr Markushyn and saw the destruction caused by artillery and air strikes of Russian troops.
Irpin was visited by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Jeppe Kofod. He was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, the Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Pavliuk, the Head of the Humanitarian Staff of the KRMA Oleksii Kuleba and a group of representatives of the European Media.
“Everything we saw, all these impressions, we take with us. The whole world should know about what is happening in Ukraine. Russian aggression has no place either here or in any other part of the world,” President of Guatemala Alejandro Giammathei told journalists during his arrival in Irpin.
The Minister of the Interior of Germany, Nancy Faeser, and the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Germany, Hubertus Heil, visited Irpin with the assurance of further support. The guests visited the destroyed residential complex “Irpinski Lypky” and promised to look for even more opportunities to help Ukraine and Irpen in particular.
The First Ladies of Latvia and Lithuania Andra Levite and Diana Nauseda visited Irpen. They visited the “Irpinski Lypky” destroyed by rocket and bomb attacks, and also visited the Irpin Central Hospital in Bucha.
Yaroslav Amosov, a resident of Irpin, the world MMA champion, became the media ambassador of the Irpin Reconstruction Fund. His aim is to attract funding for the reconstruction of the Irpin Children and Youth Sports School. This was Yaroslav Amosov’s agreement with the Irpin City Mayor, a co-founder of the Irpin Reconstruction Fund Oleksandr Markushyn.
“I have good news. MMA world champion Yaroslav Amosov from Irpin will be the media ambassador of the Irpin Reconstruction Fund for the rebuilding of the Irpin Children and Youth Sports School. We agreed on this at today’s meeting. Yaroslav is a powerful fighter who never gives up. He courageously defended his native city from the invaders, and recently proved his professionalism and strength in a fight with the American Logan Storley,” Oleksandr Markushyn noted in his post.
“I am sure, with the support of Amosov, we will quickly rebuild our Youth Sports School and it will become one of the main centers of children’s sports in the Kyyv region. By the way, I’m initiating the awarding of the title of Honorary Citizen of Irpin to Yaroslav Amosov. I think you will support me in this”, – added the mayor of Irpin.
Patrick Debois, a Catholic priest and president of the French organization “Yahad-In Unum”, visited Irpin. He has been researching and documenting facts of genocide and others massive crimes committed by the Nazis during the Second World War for 20 years, and now collects evidence military crimes of the russian federation in Ukraine.
