Mayor of Irpin Oleksandr Markushyn, head of the city’s Investment Council Volodymyr Karplyuk and the coordinator of Irpin of the Humanitarian Headquarters Petro Shcherbyna agreed with the Association mayors and presidents intercommunity of France on creation working group that will take care of reconstruction of Irpin. Today in the framework of work visit to Paris the Irpin mayor Oleksandr Markushyn and the head of the Investment Council of Irpen Volodymyr Karplyuk together with the Ambassador of Ukraine to France Vadym Omelchenko took part in the ceremony putting flowers to the monument Ann Kyivska.
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Austria, Alexander Shallenberg, and the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavskyi, visited the “Irpinski Lypky” residential complex destroyed by rashists. They were met by the mayor of Irpen, Oleksander Markushyn, and the secretary of the Irpen City Council, Angela Makeeva. Alexander Shallenberg assured that Austria will continue to support Ukraine.
“Irpin is a city that was almost destroyed by the Russians. A city that resisted it. And which prevented the Russian army from approaching Kyiv. Today in Brussels two days exhibition “Irpin. Invincible” (“Irpin.Invincible”) was opened, dedicated to defense Irpin and life parts cities under occupation. It is exhibited in “Ukrainian hub” located in one from buildings of the European Parliament. Exhibition graphically demonstrates how Irpin was before the war and what it became after the arrival of the “russian peace”.
A meeting of Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn with the delegation of the Embassy of Slovenia led by the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia in Ukraine Tomaz Mentsyn took place in the premises of the Irpin City Council. The diplomats came to Irpin to meet the head of the community personally, to hear the history of the city’s defense and to learn about the current situation. In particular, the guests were interested in Irpin’s need for international assistance.
Austrian architect Gerhard Hauser visited the city as part of the project to rebuild Irpin. Gerhard is famous for ecological approach to construction. In most of his projects predominate natural materials.And he is also known for the competent use of secondary raw materials. The Irpin Primary Health Care Center received one more ambulance today. This was announced by the director of the medical institution Andrii Levkivskyi.
Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn and Chairman of the Investment Council of the city Volodymyr Karpliuk had a meeting with the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States and called on them to help attract resources for the reconstruction of Irpin. Oleksandr Markushyn notified about this on his Facebook page.
Today, the Council of Krakow, the second largest city of Poland, adopted a resolution symbolically called “Irpin” and appealed to the European Parliament, the European Commission, as well as the Sejm and the Senate of their country to start preparations for the reconstruction of Ukraine, the introduction of the so-called “Ukrainian Marshal Plan”, and also declared its support for Ukraine’s accession to the EU and NATO.
