Before the start of hostilities in Irpin, this city became an example of revival for the whole of Ukraine and took the first positions in many ratings of comfort of living, doing business and investment attractiveness.
The city has changed positively in just 6 years. We reconstructed the children’s polyclinic and started building a modern medical center, opened new family medicine dispensaries, kindergartens, 12 parks, squares, the Embankment with bicycle paths, renovated the Central Square, and completely renovated the water supply system according to European standards.
But Irpin suffered significant destruction as a result of military operations. After the liberation of Irpen, we invited representatives of the architectural community to unite for the reconstruction of our beautiful city-Hero Irpin.
During the month, we received dozens of visions from volunteers that Irpin can be restored. And this will be the second defeat of the Russian occupier, who must realize that Ukrainians and residents of Irpin not only do not give up, but also unite for reconstruction through joint efforts with international partners.
We have created the public organization “Fund for the Restoration of Irpin” and, together with international partners, we will make every effort to rebuild our city.

1.What
Irpin reconstruction summit is the first initiative in Ukraine during Russia‘s war against Ukraine, organized by volunteers, aimed at the systematic and sustainable reconstruction of Ukrainian cities, currently the city of Irpin.2. By whom?
The project is implemented on the initiative of Volodymyr Karpliuk, head of the Investment and Investment Committee of the City of Irpin, in partnership with the public organization “Public Communications Center”.3. Why?
The goals of the project are to reconstruct the city of Irpin following United Nations Development Goals and to attract investment from European Union countries and international foundations.4. Who?
The professionals of different spheres (200 participants): architects, designers, project managers, urbanists, fundraisers, translators and designers formed groups to develop sustainable solutions for the renewal of the important social infrastructure of the city in partnership with international institutions.5. What have you already done?
We have organized the work of 300 volunteers who created valuable projects for the maintenance of the city, prepared a visualization and statistics about the needs and ruin after the invasion of the Russian army. Prepared a cost-benefit analysis of social and infrastructural facilities. Held many international meetings with specialists in the construction of cities in Irpin and had many international events in Italy, France, Belgium, Portugal, the U.S., Poland and other countries.6. What are you planning to do?
We are currently working on two tracks: anti-crisis and strategic logistics. The first one includes planning cost-cutting measures for quick construction of the city of Ivanovo. The search for critical total funding for the functioning of the city in the old regime, namely the resource for the launch of schools, kindergartens, outpatient clinics, and the accommodation of residential buildings. The other is the planning of the strategy for post-war construction of the city of Irpin, preparation of the master plan, new exclusive projects of development of the architecture of Irpin with the participation of local and international experts.7.
