A meeting of Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn with the delegation of the Embassy of Slovenia led by the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia in Ukraine Tomaz Mentsyn took place in the premises of the Irpin City Council. The diplomats came to Irpin to meet the head of the community personally, to hear the history of the city’s defense and to learn about the current situation. In particular, the guests were interested in Irpin’s need for international assistance.

Austrian architect Gerhard Hauser visited the city as part of the project to rebuild Irpin. Gerhard is famous for ecological approach to construction. In most of his projects predominate natural materials.And he is also known for the competent use of secondary raw materials. The Irpin Primary Health Care Center received one more ambulance today. This was announced by the director of the medical institution Andrii Levkivskyi.

Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn and Chairman of the Investment Council of the city Volodymyr Karpliuk had a meeting with the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States and called on them to help attract resources for the reconstruction of Irpin. Oleksandr Markushyn notified about this on his Facebook page.

Today, the Council of Krakow, the second largest city of Poland, adopted a resolution symbolically called “Irpin” and appealed to the European Parliament, the European Commission, as well as the Sejm and the Senate of their country to start preparations for the reconstruction of Ukraine, the introduction of the so-called “Ukrainian Marshal Plan”, and also declared its support for Ukraine’s accession to the EU and NATO. SOCAR Energy Ukraine, the Ukrainian representative office of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, will finance roof repairs and replacement of windows and doors at Irpin School # 12 named after Zarifa Aliyeva.
