Before war

The residential complex «Green Yard» is located in a picturesque and environmentally friendly place, near the coniferous forest on the outskirts of Irpin, and consists of 10 residential 5-story buildings with 668 apartments. This is a striking example of quality of real estate economy class. More than 2,000 people lived here, including 250 children under the age of 10. The main owners of apartments (over 60%) were forced migrants from Donetsk and Luhansk regions after the first wave of military aggression in 2014.

After the invasion

The first on the way of Russian troops was the residential complex «Green Yard». From the first day of the occupation, its inhabitants felt all the horrors of the so-called «Russian peace». For 23 days, the Russians looted, abused, and killed the residents of the housing estate, evicting them from their homes and put them into basements. Of the 300 civilians killed in Irpin, at least eight were killed in Green Yard. In 6 houses the upper floors were completely burned, facades were damaged, stairs in one house were destroyed, and windows and doors were broken everywhere.
